modeling:Tess Holliday has proudly showed off her curves in a backless lace onesie while striking a pose in front of a scenic mountain view.
The size 22 model kicked off Memorial Day by sharing a stunning image of herself standing on a veranda overlooking a mountain range in Malibu, California.
In the glamorous snapshot, which she posted on Instagram, Tess, 31, is facing the mountains and arching her head so her long auburn waves flow down her back.
Tess’ derriere is fully on display, as she is modeling a one-piece featuring a black lace thong.
‘Views,’ Tess captioned the cheeky picture, using a mountain and a peach emoji to represent both the scenic view and her curvy backside.
The advocate for body confidence and self-love also posted the image on her Instagram Stories, writing: ‘Unapologetic.’
Ahead of Memorial Day weekend, the model proved once again that she won’t let online trolls’ cruel comments about her body get her down – instead she used them as a source of entertainment, both for herself, and her many fans.
The mother-of-two posted a funny image of herself posing alongside a picture of a whale, while joking that she had been ‘reunited with her family’ in the caption.
Tess added that she believes whales are ‘majestic as f**k’, suggesting that she couldn’t be happier about the comparisons people have made between her and the marine mammals.
Her humorous picture was quickly applauded by many of her 1.4 million Instagram followers, with numerous people commenting to share how entertaining – and empowering – they found the image, and the message that went with it.
‘Hell yeah girl, you nailed it!’ one person wrote, while another added: ‘I love your sense of humour!’
It is not the first time that Tess has shared her love of the sea creatures; in November 2016, the model hit back at a cruel online troll who tweeted an image of her body that had been merged with a whale, rudely asking: ‘I can’t be the only one who sees this, right?’
Refusing to let the horrible tweet get her down, Tess quickly snapped back at the man, joking that she ‘hoped’ he wasn’t the only person to see similarities between her and whales because whales are ‘majestic as f**k’.
Tess has never been one to shy away from sharing candid, intimate glimpses into her life; in fact her latest image – which was snapped at the Back Home In Lahaina restaurant in Carson, California – comes just a few days after the model posted a very candid snap of herself wearing nothing but shapewear.
The model proudly shared the unretouched snapshot of herself sitting in an ‘unflattering’ position backstage at a photo shoot.
Tess gave her followers a sneak peek at the look she will be modeling on the cover for her upcoming book, explaining that she loves the image specifically because it isn’t perfect.
Looking glam! Tess took to Instagram last Thursday to share this photo of herself behind the scenes of her recent book cover shoot
‘It’s totally unretouched & I’m sitting in a way that isn’t “flattering” but that’s why I love it. It’s real,’ she captioned the picture.
‘My gorgeous, supportive husband (who has held my hand the entire time through this book) is laughing behind me & I’m just hanging out in shapewear takin a [selfie].’
The snapshot captured Tess all glammed with her auburn hair deeply parted to the side and falling in loose waves around her shoulders.
In the behind-the-scenes shot, she is wearing a strapless nude one piece, which showcases the tattoos on her legs.
‘Wearing makeup doesn’t make me less of a feminist, & neither does wearing shapewear,’ she added. ‘It’s all about our choice to wear & do what we want with our bodies.
‘I will keep resisting, with perfect coiffed hair from @hisvintagetouch too #effyourbeautystandards#NotSoSubtleTess.’
While she is taking a selfie in the snapshot, her partner Nick Holliday can be seen smiling behind her
Tess took to Instagram last week to reveal that she had written a book, The Not So Subtle Art of Being A Fat Girl: Loving the Skin You’re In.

‘It’s been SO difficult keeping this secret,’ she admitted, ‘but Mama wrote a book & it’s coming out soon! The Not So Subtle Art of Being A Fat Girl is all about discovering how to love your body, love, life, heartbreak and more!’
Tess is understandably excited about her latest accomplishment, and last Wednesday, she proudly shared photos from the shoot, which took place at photographer Warwick Saint’s studio in Topanga, California.
Although Nick wasn’t the one photographing Tess this time, he was still seen hanging out with the crew throughout the shoot.
In one shot, Tess is wearing a stunning black corset dress embroidered with red flowers, and she modeling matching red lipstick, while other images see her getting her hair and make-up touched up.
At one point, Tess struck a pose with her agent, Anna Shillinglaw, who stopped by the shoot on Wednesday.
Tess also shared plenty of videos from the shoot on her Instagram stories, including one of her make-up artist spraying something on her chest.

Another video sees her donning a white button down, under a black tub top, and a pair of black underwear as she poses with her photographer.
Warwick shared similar clip on his Instagram page while praising the model.
‘So much fun shooting @tessholliday yesterday at my Studio in Topanga,’ he wrote. ‘I am blown away by her confidence and beauty. Thank you Tess and thank you to a great team.’
When the shoot was over, Tess filmed the outside of Warwick’s home to commemorate the end of the day, while her friends urged her fans to buy her book.
Tess’ book, which is being described as her ‘manifest’, is a plea for all women to embrace body positivity and feel comfortable in their own skin.
The star rose to fame after she started modeling in 2010, becoming the first size 22 model to be signed to a major agency, MiLK Model Management, just five years later.
