Sonam Kapoor teams up with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar for ‘Veere Di Wedding’
Sonam Kapoor:The all-female led film, to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh of “Khoobsurat” fame, is being co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor.
Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor has teamed up with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania for an upcoming film, “Veere Di Wedding”.
The all-female led film, to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh of “Khoobsurat” fame, is being co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor.
“‘Veere Di Wedding’ my next!! Rhea Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania, Ekta Kapoor. Breaking boundaries. New age. Feminisms,” Sonam tweeted.
This will be the first time that the 31-year-old “Neerja” star and Kareena,35, will be seen sharing screen space. She has previously worked with Swara in films like “Raanjhanaa” and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”.
Shikha, who is the daughter of veteran actor Tiku Talsania, is most remembered for portraying Ranbir Kapoor’s friend in 2009 movie “Wake Up Sid”.

The daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, Kapoor studied theatre and arts at the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore. She had her first commercial success three years later in the romantic comedy I Hate Luv Storys (2010).

She then featured in the 2014 romantic comedy Khoobsurat and the 2015 comedy drama Dolly Ki Doli, both of which earned her Filmfare Award for Best Actress nominations. Kapoor played a princess in the melodrama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. She received the National Film Award – Special Mention and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for portraying the much praised titular role in the biographical thriller Neerja (2016), one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films featuring a female protagonist.
